Dr.P.Ramesh Kumar, NSS Programme officer and 50 NSS volunteers of Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science have participated in a Bicycle Rally demonstrating World Peace, Religious Tolerance, National Integration and abolishing Untouchability on Gandhi Jayanthi. This programme was organised by Government of Tamil Nadu commemorating Gandhi’s 151st Birthday on 2nd October 2019 from Marina Beach to Gandhi Mandapam, Guindy, Chennai. The Honorable Minister for School Education, Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Govt. of Tamil Nadu flagged of the cycle rally. In connection with this programme tree plantation was done at Gandhi Mandapam, Guindy, Chennai.
