The NSS Unit of Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science along with the Department of Police, Tamil Nadu Government organised an Awareness Programme on ‘Kavalan’, an online app ensuring women’s safety,recently launched by the Department of Police, Tamil Nadu Government, in the Auditorium on 11.12.2019. Dr.S.Ramanathan, Principal, Member – Syndicate,University of Madras presided over the function. Ms.C.Vijayakumari, Inspector of Police, All Women’s Police Station, Madipakkam was the Chief guest. She explained on the working of Kavalan app, it’s usage and emphasised the importance of Women safety in the society. Nearly 500 women students were the beneficiaries of this programme. Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar, NSS Programme Officer organised this event.
